Packrat Keychains is a mobile DIY Keychain making experience with a punk flair. Housed in a Mini Truck, Packrat allows guests to create their own custom key chains with a series of charms, chains, and clasps to make something that truly reflects them. Due to it's compact size, Packrat can roll up to any outdoor fair, market, or even events like birthday parties.
The process:
I adore keychains, they're generally just fun things to own and a great expression of personal identity. And as an artist I know how fulfilling it can be to get to sit down and make something with your hands. The intersection of personal identity/expression and the deeply fulfilling act of creation was the origin of Packrat.

After I had the idea, I began to ideate on what this thing looked like.
So I came up with the Pull out + Storage, the Basic Bar, & the Curve + Double Bar, respectively.
The last sketch, the curve + double bar, is what I went with in the end. The curved storage space makes the vehicle look more toy-like which emphasizes its small size and the double pull out bars allows for dedicated spaces to work on the keychains and pay without taking up each other's space.
Here's a closer look at the storage hidden in the truck.
Both the Check-out counter and the Assembly station are designed to be stored under the main storage shell of the truck. They're connected to the truck and pull out like drawers with the check out counter having legs at the far end for support and the assembly station resting on the metal truck bed flap.
